John has been a physician in the Dallas area for 32 years. After graduating from SMU and UT Southwestern Medical School, he completed his residency training at Parkland Hospital. He lives with his wife in North Texas and enjoys travel, fly-fishing, and writing. He released his second book, "Grapevine, Texas - the stories behind our city streets" in 2017. John is the Communication Chairman for the Grapevine Historical Society and the Travel & Education Director for the Grapevine Wine Pouring Society.
He will be discussing the 124-year history of Parkland Hospital, the Kennedy assassination, and the recent rebirth of the Old Parkland hospital as one of Dallas' most unique office spaces.
Tommie Wright is being proposed as a new member to the Richardson East Rotary Club. Tommie was proposed by President D, her classification is jeweler. Tommie never joined an organization before because she was always working 60-70 hours a week. She now has time to give back and is willing to do whatever we need help with. She says that she is a great cook and baker. She is a hard worker, a people person and loves to raise money for good causes. She once sold bracelets to raise money for Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. She is originally from Israel; she came to the US when she was 22. She had her first job at Richardson Square Mall at a jewelry store. She has been with Pampillonia for 2 years.
