Leona Harder inducted

Leona Harder was inducted as a member in the Richardson East Rotary Club.

Leona is the Public Relations and Enrollment director at North Dallas Adventist Academy, an accomplished pianist, and a member of this year's Leadership Richardson class, Class 38. She has an extensive background in fund development and marketing, previously serving as the Development Director for North Dallas Adventist Academy as well as holding previous contract marketing positions with the Richardson Chamber of Commerce and Texas Instruments. She is an active community volunteer, and holds her B.S. in Corporate Communications from Southwestern Adventist University.

Helping Hands

Derek Hernandez received RERC's first Helping Hands award.

Derek is an active member of the ILTexas Interact club. He quietly steps up to assist wherever it is needed. Derek created a program to get unused food from the cafeteria to help the unhoused. Through his church, Derek works with the organization Boxes of Blessings.

January Board Meeting Notes

The January board meeting focused on our forthcoming Spring events:

The January Surprise Dinner will be postponed until next fall. In the meantime, plans are being made for a different social event this spring. Stay tuned for more information.
Leona Harder will be inducted into our Club during this Wednesday's meeting (January 18).
Planning for the 2023 Games & Gala is underway. We need everyone's help to make this a successful event.
- If you know of a potential sponsor, Ron is able to assist as needed.
- Silent Auction donations of items and/or cash to purchase items are also needed.
Richardson is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. As a club we would like to participate. Karen Ellis will be soliciting ideas at our next club meeting. Start thinking!
Our meeting on February 8th will be Fiesta Happy Hour. This will be an opportunity to recruit new members. Everyone is encouraged to attend and to bring a potential club member. Location to be announced later.
Doug Crosby will be leaving for a trip to Honduras to visit the Our Little Roses home. There is still room for more club members to join him. Please see him for additional details.

Hi, I'm Dr. Sara Zwink and my passion is helping those who struggle with anxiety or other chronic health issues, via nervous system care, so they can live the life they deserve without being at odds with their own body. When I'm not changing lives, I'm often found reading, trying new restaurants, or desperately finding a place to hike in this great state of Texas, that's just a bit flatter than my home state of Alaska.
