After 3 years of effort the India Girl School project comes to a successful conclusion.  Big thank you to Woody who has lead this project from RERC's perspective. Attached is the link to the final report; Documents/en-ca/585024cc-5728-4894-a107-d917a4884fb1/1

Higginbotham Community Fund Partners with Club
Higginbotham Community Fund Representatives
One of our great sponsor-partners at Richardson East Rotary is the Higginbotham Community Fund, founded and sponsored by Higginbotham insurance company to engage employees in philanthropic opportunities. Higginbotham representatives joined us at a recent club meeting. Pictured from left, Terry Garry, Lisa Steele & Andy Blackmon from Higginbotham; Byron Johnson, a club member and Higginbotham employee; Kenn Smith, president of the Richardson East Rotary Foundation; and Ken Schwartz, treasurer of the Richardson East Rotary Foundation.

Young Leaders in Action
Millennials, an ethnically diverse, fiercely independent generation of digital natives, are doing more than just snapping selfies—they’re looking for a way to make a difference in their communities. For Rotary, the millennial era could mean an influx of young, energetic members. The percentage of Rotarians under 40 has remained fairly steady at about 10 percent in recent years, but this could be the generation that bucks the trend. Find out what these young, ambitious professionals love about Rotary and why more and more are discovering that “Rotary has everything millennials want.
Atta-Boy and Atta-Girl Acknowledgements

In preparation for this year's Installation Banquet, please send me the names of anyone in our club whom you feel should be recognized with an "Atta-Boy" or "Atta-Girl" acknowledgement. This special recognition is for accomplishments of our club and those individuals who have worked hard to help accomplish the goals of Rotary.  Please note the reason for their receiving an Atta-Boy or Atta-Girl with your submission.  You may send as many recommendations as you feel are deserving. There is no limit.  All will be acknowledged at the banquet on Wednesday, June 15.

Speaking of the banquet.  George has been asking for members to sign up so that we have an accurate accounting for ordering food and drink.  If you have not let George know, please do so by emailing him atgsmmed1@airmail.net. It is just as important to let him know if you are not able to attend.  It is of course my hope that we will have as close to 100% attendance as possible.

It's been a great year and a load of fun. I thank you all for making RERC one of the best clubs in District 5810.
