Alicia Marshall proposed for Membership

Alicia Marshall has been proposed for membership and approved by the board with a planned induction for 7/28/2021.

Alicia Marshall  was born in Roswell, NM and has lived in various states as well as Japan.  Her father was in the Air Force and she attended 9 schools in 12 years.  Alicia moved to Texas from North Dakota and lived in Wichita Falls, TX, Altus, OK and Tulsa, OK before moving to Dallas and then to Richardson.  Alicia has been the secretary at St. Barnabas Presbyterian Church for the past 8 years and a Richardson resident for over 37 years.  She has a son living in Oklahoma and a daughter that died in 2018; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to working, she has been involved with a number of associations in Richardson including Citizen Fire Academy Alumni Association, Network of Community Ministries and Leadership Richardson (Class XXXIII) 

Bryan Rogers proposed for membership

Bryan Rogers has been proposed for membership and approved by the board with a planned induction date on 7/28/21.

Bryan Rogers grew up in Breckenridge, Texas where both of his parents were public school teachers. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Design Communications. He moved to Dallas in 1984 and worked for Vestal Hansen Agency for a year, then Advance Design Center until 2000. While at ADC, he was on a design team that created the City of Richardson corporate identity under Mayor Gary Slagel. In 2000, he became an independent designer and formed Design Concepts and Graphics (www.dcglink.com).

He met his wife Kathy at Park Cities Baptist Church and was married there in 1988. They have three adult children, Kailey (and Robert) Vick, Elayna (and Russell) Johnson, and Nate Rogers, plus three grandchildren. 

Bryan is currently serving on the Board of Directors for BCLC Church Lending. He has also served on several boards with the Texas Amateur Hockey Association. His family has been blessed by the schools, businesses and citizens of Richardson for 33 years. From RHS activities, gymnastics, the library, sports leagues, Chamber of Commerce support while starting Nothing Bundt Cakes, as well as community support while navigating health challenges. He believes there is a great opportunity for mentorship within our community and that Richardson East Rotary can be a key cog.

Lisa Kupfer proposed for Membership

Lisa Kupfer has been proposed for membership and approved by the board with a planned induction on 7/28/2021.

Lisa Kupfer is a ten-year resident of Richardson, nonprofit professional, and community volunteer. A native of Omaha, Nebraska, she attended Creighton University, majoring in Psychology. She is the Development Manager for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of North Texas, where she manages fundraising, donor relations, and communications. 

She is a Past-President of Junior League of Richardson and Friends of the Richardson Public Library. She is a graduate of Leadership Richardson Class 34 (the Superheroes).  Lisa was appointed to the COR Library Board in 2018, and has served as a member of the Richardson Symphony Orchestra’s Beaujolais Bash Steering Committee for the past two years. She is currently participating in RPD’s Citizens Police Academy (Class 42), and has joined the boards of Richardson Symphony Orchestra and Leadership Richardson Alumni Association. 

Lisa is happily married to her husband of 17 years, Shawn. They are the proud "pawrents" of three rescue dogs: Viktor (mini-Dachshund mix), Sagan, (Labradane) and an 18-year-old Boston Terrier named Ziva. 

Chris Goodson Proposed for Membership

Dr. Chris Goodson has been proposed for membership and approved by the board with a planned induction date of 7/28/2021.

Dr. Chris Goodson currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources in the Richardson Independent School District. He has spent his entire 28-year professional career in RISD and served is numerous roles including Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Executive Director and Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools. He received his undergraduate and Doctoral degrees from the University of North Texas and his master’s degree from the University of Texas in Arlington.

Chris is a graduate of Leadership Richardson Class 31, the best class, and went on to facilitate three years for classes 33 – 35. He is currently on the Leadership Richardson Alumni Association Board.

Dr. Goodson is the proud father of three amazing children. James (18), David (16) and Winnie (14) are RISD students and James will graduate this year with the class of 2021. He is also extremely blessed to be married to his wife of almost 21 years, Kellie.

Chris’ mother was a DISD teacher and his father was a Dallas County Probation Officer, so he had the benefit of a strong foundation in the importance of education. Teachers change the world around them every single day.
