Proposed New Member - Raul Hinojosa Jr.

Dr. Raúl Hinojosa Jr. currently is the Assistant Vice President for Policy and Process Improvement at The University of Texas at Dallas in the Office Institutional Success and Decision Support (OISDS).
Previously, he served in various leadership roles in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, including most recently as an Assistant Vice President. In his current role in OISDS, his portfolio includes leading the Institutional Research, Analytics, and Reporting and Assessment teams.  OISDS provides data and support for the campus’s faculty, staff, and leadership to make data-informed decisions that lead to student and university success. His higher education appointments have focused on leading important work in enrollment management, equity and access programs, and community engagement.

Hinojosa serves on several national professional organizations, including serving on the Board of Trustees for the College Board.

He has a history of being engaged in a variety of community and service organizations, including serving as the Former President of the Richardson Adult Literacy Center and is currently the Chair-elect for the Richardson Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He is an alumnus of the Leadership Dallas Class of 2015 – the Dallas Regional Chamber’s leadership development program. He also served as President of LULAC Council 4871 – the nation’s first LGBT LULAC Council.

Hinojosa has taught strategic communications and non-profit management courses as an adjunct professor at the University of North Texas and Texas Christian University.

Hinojosa is a native Texan originally from the Rio Grande Valley.  He received a Rotary Scholarship in high school from the Rotary Club of Harlingen (Texas).   He understands the important service work of the Richardson East Rotary Club.  Recently, Raul attended the Casino Night and had a fun time all for a cause that is important.  Aside from doing good work, he believe that he would find it fulfilling to be involved in activities such as this.

During his spare time, he enjoys cooking and eating at new restaurants.
