Joe Corcoran has been proposed for membership and approved by the board. Joe Corcoran was elected to the City Council in May 2021. He has volunteered consistently with the Access and Information Network, Network of Community Ministries, and TangoTab. Corcoran has also served on a 2016 – 2019 United Way of Metropolitan Dallas Community Impact Grant Panel, where he helped allocate financial contributions from donors to support health-based initiatives in North Texas. He is a graduate of the Emerging Leaders in Philanthropy program run by the Communities Foundation of Texas. He is a former Apollo Panther and Berkner Ram, and his family has been active in the DFW area since the 1980’s. Corcoran graduated Texas Tech University with Honors (BA History, 2013, MBA and MSBA Healthcare Administration, 2015). His hobbies include hiking, particularly in Colorado, and cycling around Richardson’s many bike trails and paths. Corcoran currently works in corporate compliance for a major Fortune 500 company, and prior to that worked in risk management for an insurance startup that eventually went public. |
