Urban Search and Rescue in Texas

Robert “Rudy” Valles is currently the Program Coordinator for Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) Texas Task Force 2.  He has served in this capacity since February of 2018.  Prior to this he worked as a member of Dallas Fire-Rescue for thirty-two years, retiring as the Deputy Chief of Special Operations.  Rudy has been a member of the task force since its creation in 2006, helping it grow from a 16-county regional response team to a State of Texas emergency response asset.  He holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science degree from Texas A&M San Antonio with a concentration in Fire and Emergency Services Administration – Homeland Security
