Gene Senter is the current Operations Chief for the City of Richardson Fire Department. He has been a member of the Richardson Fire Department for 27 years, beginning as a probationary firefighter in 1994 and rising through the ranks to his current position. Chief Senter is also a State of Texas Urban Search & Rescue (USAR) Task Force Leader, leading rescue missions assigned by the Governor for Texas Task Force 2. He has led many search and rescue missions within the State of Texas and contiguous states. During his career with the fire department Gene was a Captain within the Special Operations group for both technical rescue and HazMat. Gene also served as member of the SWAT tactical medic team from 1998 – 2009, being named Captain over the program in 2006. In his personal life Gene and his wife Tiffany celebrated their 25th anniversary in April of 2020 and have 2 teenage children. Brayden, their 18- year-old son, is finishing his senior year and has signed up with the United States Marine Corps for a delayed entry this summer following his Graduation. Ashlee, their 15-year-old daughter, is a freshman and is active as a member of the Varsity drill team and volunteering in their church nursery. When time allows Gene enjoys golfing, feeding/watching birds, home projects and traveling with his wife, preferably to the beach.
