During last week's club meeting we honored two outstanding local teachers:
Ms. Merino teaches Social Studies at International Leadership of Texas High School. She is very serious about ensuring that her students learn during every class period. She is kindhearted in delivery and genuinely cares for each one of her scholars. She volunteers outside the standard school hours with Model UN, JWAC. And she always lends support to uplift her colleagues. 
Ms. Bouras teaches music at Jess Harben Elementary School in Richardson. She takes much time and effort in creating lessons and activities that engage students. From the structure of the lesson, detailed planning has taken place. Ms. Bouras knows her students need a mixture of activities to be able to remain engaged. The classroom practices Ms. Bouras has established encourages all students to communicate effectively with the teacher and their peer. Students are encouraged to move their bodies and communicate through non-verbal methods.
