RERC e-bulletin 9-18-2023 (Sep 18, 2023)

October 24 is World Polio Day. Our club will be joining the Richardson Rotary Club to organize "Pints for Polio" from 5-7pm at Guitars & Growlers. Michael Parmerlee is taking the lead on this event. More information will be coming.
FISH Camp was a success with 6 of our newest members attending in order to learn who we are and what our club accomplishes.
Last month several members attended our District's Award Ceremony. We received 2 awards:
- Spirit of Cooperation Award given to acknowledge the participation of our entire club to make 2023's Games & Gala a success.
- Our Club's Star Award to Leslie Benson in honor of her service to the club last year.
An online Membership Application has been added to the website, under "Join Our Club" If you know someone interested, please point them to the application.
This year's major fundraiser has been renamed Games & Giving. The website has been updated with a link to the event. At the moment the contents are mainly a Save the Date page, plus a link on the left for potential sponsors to start the ball rolling. Tell your friends!

North Texas Giving Day is THIS WEEK!

North Texas Giving Day is this week on September 21, and together we can make an impact! Funds support the Richardson East Rotary Club Foundation and our outreach efforts.

Thanks to generous anonymous donors, we currently have a matching funds pool of $2000! There is still time to contribute - email Lisa.Kupfer@gmail.com if you would like to add to the pool. Matching funds increases excitement and encourages individual donations. Other ways to help make this Giving Day a success include:

1) Setting up an individual fundraising page within the NTGD potation in support of Richardson East Rotary Club. This is a great way to share with your networks why you support Rotary.

2) Take a minute to like and share upcoming North Texas Giving Day posts on our Facebook page.

3) Make Richardson East Rotary Club Foundation one of your charities of choice - with early giving now open, you have the opportunity to make your gift today.
