The second annual picnic for the playground was held on 6-16-18. A big crowd came out to support the effort and to have some food and refreshments.
Bruce announced that $217,000 had been raised to date, but then got two more checks of $5,000 each - putting the total at more than $227,000. 
One of the checks was from the "other" Rotary club in town, Richardson Rotary. They supported us with a donation of $5,000 to the project. Thank you!
J.J. Pearce HS student Josh Roberts put his time where his heart is. Josh sat outside the lunchroom for two weeks at Pearce pushing for donations to the playground. He raised more than $200. Way to go, Josh!
Terrace Elementary is "all in" for the inclusive playground. The Student Council identified the project as a fund raising goal and pledged $1,000 from their cotton candy sales.
