Five Richardson ISD Students ReceiveCollege Scholarships from Casino Party Funds

Richardson East Rotary Club Awarded five students with college scholarships with funds raised from its annual Casino Party. The five awards will total $22,000 over the life of the scholarships. They include three four-year scholarships and two community college scholarships for two-years each.
The four-year recipients and their graduating high schools are Xenia K. Darfa and Adelaida Olson from Berkner High School and Mia Ivos from Richardson High School. The two-year scholarship recipients are Toma Ahmed and Nancy Cabrera, both from Richardson High School.
The students will be responsible for reporting grades to the Club and have standards that must be met to continue receiving the awards each year. In addition, the Club has assigned one of its members to each recipient to serve as a mentor and maintain contact with the student.
