Amelia Simmons was selected to receive our 2nd RERC's Helping Hands Award.
Amelia is a student at Richardson High School. While maintaining an excellent academic record she volunteers her time always with a smile. She has served as an AVID Ambassador on numerous occasions, working with peers, students, campus leaders and visiting school districts representing her campus with maturity, respect and pride. In addition, Mia chose to participate in the inaugural year of RHS AVID, partnering with Academy 4 to provide mentoring for at-risk 4th grade students who attend a local Title 1 elementary school.
