A program created by Rotary members in Seattle, Washington, USA, is fighting hunger and poverty in Arkansas thanks to connections formed through Rotary. Rotary First Harvest uses donated shipping to funnel donations of imperfect produce to Washington food banks. Recently, they took their hunger fight national with an initiative that places AmeriCorps volunteers with partner food banks to create new programs for recovering produce.
