A large group of Rotarians showed up for the underwear drive at the Methodist Hospital Campus for Continuing Care on Wednesday 10/30 for our 5th Wednesday Volunteer Event.
As part of the visit we got a glimpse into our Grant project upcoming this spring. We are partnering with Laura Small, Behavioral Health & Addiction Recovery Manager, to revitalize the existing, rather dated garden used by their patients as a outdoor break and little oasis from the hospital environment.
The RERC golf fellowship group had a social at the Golf Range last Tuesday 10/29.

Many Rotarians and guests gathered to have a wonderful time at the Guitars and Growlers on world polio day 10/24.
Money was raised for the eradication of polio and no words can tell how debilitating this disease is. There is still a big need for funds to drive polio out of the last endemic countries.

Last week on 10/16 the RERC members had a chance to volunteer at the Network of Community Ministries food pantry. We were divided into groups to restock, take out trash or whatever was needed.

Our club maintains the Sensory Garden at the Ann Eisemann Inclusive Playground. The garden was created as part of the club’s prior Strategic Plan that helped create and build the Inclusive Playground at Cottonwood Park in 2019.
There is a large stone plaque within the garden which highlights our efforts. The garden is called sensory…because all the plants within it are chosen to be non-poisonous and safe for touching and enjoyment.
